BIKEtoberfest (10/20)

Meine Damen und Herren,

As you know, October is a time for celebrating and appreciating the beer. What better way to show our appreciation for this delectable, yeasty beverage than to have a cruise in its honor? Meet at 1615 Irving St. NW in Mt. Pleasant for social at 7:30 for pre-cruise brats. Cruise by 8:45. We'll make our way to the Raven for post-cruise brews.

Car-Free Cruise (9/21)

Let's cruise car-free style this month.
Tuesday, the 22nd of September is the official "Car-Free Day" in DC (http://www.carfreemetrodc.com/) and we thought it would be a good idea to help get the word out the night before by reminding people to avoid their cars on Tuesday!!
So come one and come all with your banners, your signs, your anti-car slogans, and your chants and help get people out of their cars and onto their bikes!! We'll meet to ride at 8:30 on Monday, September 21 at the Mt. Pleasant Square between Lamont and Mt. Pleasant Streets. We'll ride until we can ride no longer and then we'll head to the Raven. Don't forget to bring your friends!

Summer's End Cruise (8/26)

We've had quite a summer. Some tourists, not much rain, sun, and a lot lot lot of heat. But it's all almost coming to an end, which means it's time for one last hurrah! So, come with your bike, your friends, and your best summer outfit--whatever that may be--and bring all of those to Mt. Pleasant Park on the corner of Lamont and Mt. Pleasant streets at 8:30pm Wednesday, August 26 for one last cruise of the summer. The cruise, as always, will finish with a cool and refreshing beverage at The Raven on Mt. Pleasant Street.

Summer Solstice Ride (6/19)

This month we're riding to celebrate the longest day of the year!! --except we're starting the celebrating a few days early. Come on down around 8pm-ish on Friday, June 19, to the Mt. Pleasant Plaza (between Lamont and Mt. Pleasant streets) to celebrate the day of the "standing sun." We want to start the ride by sunset, which will be happening at 8:34 that night. As always, costumes and celebratory attire are strongly encouraged and happily welcomed. If you come dressed as a stone from Stonehenge, you may not be the only one... See you there!
